Marvel Studios has released the first full trailer for Daredevil: Born Again, set to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2025. The trailer highlights the long-awaited return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, reigniting their complex rivalry in Hell’s Kitchen.
The footage showcases Matt Murdock balancing his dual life as a blind lawyer and a vigilante, while Wilson Fisk, now the mayor of New York City, pursues political power intertwined with his criminal ambitions. The trailer delivers glimpses of tense confrontations, brutal fight scenes, and the thematic conflict between justice and chaos. One scene features Fisk telling Murdock, “It’s not entirely unpleasant seeing you again,” setting the tone for their inevitable collision.
In addition to Cox and D’Onofrio, the series features a robust cast that includes Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Genneya Walton, Zabryna Guevara, Michael Gandolfini, Nikki M. James, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Jeremy Earl, Lou Taylor Pucci, and Ayelet Zurer, reprising her role as Vanessa Marianna-Fisk. The cast also includes Kamar de los Reyes as Hector Ayala/White Tiger and Mohan Kapur as Yusuf Khan.
The nine-episode series is led by showrunner Dario Scardapane with episodes directed by Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd. The story follows Murdock and Fisk as they navigate the consequences of their resurfacing pasts, with the official synopsis teasing an unavoidable collision course between the two.
Initially slated for an earlier release, the series faced production delays, including a pause during filming to recalibrate its creative direction. Marvel Studios brought in new writers and directors to align the tone with the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe, transitioning the project from a legal procedural to a more action-driven narrative.
The release of Daredevil: Born Again marks the character’s first solo series since Netflix’s Daredevil, which ended in 2018. Marvel fans have eagerly awaited this return, with Cox appearing in projects like Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law to bridge the gap. The series aims to honor the legacy of its predecessor while exploring new dynamics and challenges for its characters.
With Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel is reestablishing its Hell’s Kitchen saga with a narrative that will expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s street-level storytelling. The trailer sets the stage for what appears to be an intense and dramatic continuation of Daredevil’s journey.
