Idris Elba, Archie Panjabi, Christine Adams’ Real-Time Thriller Hijack Gets Release Date [FIRST LOOK]

Apple TV+ has set a release date for its highly anticipated real-time thriller series “Hijack,” which stars Idris Elba and Archie Panjabi. The show debuts with its first two episodes on June 28, followed by weekly releases.

Created by George Kay and Jim Field Smith, the show also stars Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, Neil Maskell, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Aimée Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel, and Ben Miles.

The plot of “Hijack” revolves around a hijacked plane on a seven-hour flight to London, with authorities scrambling for answers. Elba plays Sam Nelson, a skilled negotiator who tries to save the passengers’ lives, while Panjabi plays counterterrorism officer Zahra Gahfoor, who becomes involved in the investigation.

The series promises to be a heart-stopping thriller, with tension building as the story unfolds in real-time. The creators have promised that viewers will be on the edge of their seats as they follow the story of the hijacked plane and the lives of those on board.

Kay and Field Smith, who previously worked together on Netflix’s “Criminal” franchise, wrote and directed “Hijack” and are executive producers alongside Elba, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, and Kris Thykier.
