Kamala Harris is stepping into her next chapter with the backing of Creative Artists Agency (CAA). The former Vice President has signed with the powerhouse agency for representation across all areas, with a particular focus on speaking engagements and publishing. CAA will work closely with Harris to craft strategic opportunities that align with her long-standing advocacy work, ensuring her platform continues to support the causes she’s championed throughout her career in public service.
This marks a homecoming of sorts for Harris, who was previously represented by CAA before making history as the 49th Vice President of the United States. As the first woman, the first Black American, and the first South Asian American to hold the position, Harris shattered multiple glass ceilings. And before that, she was the first Black woman and first South Asian woman to be nominated for president by a major political party.
Harris’ latest move comes just ahead of another major moment—being honored with the Chairman’s Award at the NAACP Image Awards. The award recognizes individuals who not only excel in public service but use their platforms to create meaningful change. She’ll make her first televised appearance since leaving office when she accepts the award during the 56th NAACP Image Awards on Feb. 22. The ceremony will air live from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on BET and CBS.
Interestingly, Harris isn’t the only former White House leader making moves with CAA. Just two weeks ago, former President Joe Biden also signed with the agency, marking a return to the roster after his previous tenure with CAA from 2017 to 2020. During that time, Biden published his #1 New York Times bestselling memoir Promise Me, Dad, embarked on the 42-city American Promise tour, and took on high-profile speaking engagements across the country.
With CAA in her corner, Harris is poised to make an even greater impact in the next phase of her career. Breaker Media first reported the news of her signing.
