severance season 2

We’re officially headed back to the Lumon offices as the highly acclaimed Apple TV+ series “Severance” has officially resumed production for its second season. The production hiatus, initiated in May 2023 due to the Writers Guild of America strike and subsequent SAG-AFTRA walkout, has finally come to an end.

The series, known for its gripping narrative and star-studded cast led by Adam Scott, centers around Lumon Industries and a groundbreaking “severance” procedure that partitions employees’ memories between work and personal life. With both industry strikes resolved, production has resumed, signaling a return to the mysterious world created by Dan Erickson and brought to life by Ben Stiller.

The series explores the consequences of a unique “severance” procedure, surgically dividing employees’ memories between their professional and personal lives. As Mark finds himself at the epicenter of a unraveling mystery, viewers are taken on a thrilling journey that prompts a deeper reflection on the true nature of work and self.

The star-studded cast includes Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus, and Christopher Walken. Season 2 promises additional intrigue with the addition of Gwendoline Christie, Bob Balaban, Merritt Wever, Alia Shawkat, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannante, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, and John Noble.

“Severance” Season 1, which premiered on Apple TV+ in 2022, received critical acclaim and garnered 14 Emmy nominations. The series clinched two wins for outstanding main title design and music composition.

While the series has begun production, we aren’t sure when Severance season 2 will return but we’ll keep you updated.
