Druski is headed to the big screen — and he’s bringing the chaos of The Diggers with him.
The viral comedian is developing a feature-length version of his hit social media short, The Diggers, in partnership with Kenya Barris. Described as an “old-school buddy comedy,” the film will follow Druski as Brandon Digger, a man who inherits his late father’s funeral home and quickly realizes it’s more than he bargained for.
The original short — which dropped last week — starred Druski alongside Shane Gillis, Theo Von, Navv Greene, and BenDaDonnn. While it’s unclear if Gillis or Von will reprise their roles, the short’s wild energy and viral success laid the groundwork for the feature.
The project is being developed under Druski’s 4lifers Entertainment and Barris’ Khalabo Ink Society, with both also attached as producers alongside Jeremy Allen and Adam Kassan.
This marks a reunion for Druski and Barris, who previously worked together on Grown-ish, where Druski recurred in the final season.
Druski, known for his sold-out comedy tours and popular digital series like Coulda Been House and Coulda Been Love, continues to expand his reach from social media to scripted storytelling.
No word yet on casting updates or a release date — but if the short is any indication, The Diggers is about to bring hilarious mayhem to the funeral business.
