The comedian, actor and New York Times bestselling author will develop new series, stand-up specials and feature films for the free streaming platform
Tubi has announced its most expansive creator partnership to date, signing comedian, actor and digital creator Kevin “KevOnStage” Fredericks to a multi-project, multi-year slate that spans scripted comedy, stand-up and feature films.
The deal builds on the success of Safe Space, the Tubi Original that premiered in November 2025 and quickly found an audience on the platform. What began as a single series has now grown into a full creative slate, giving Fredericks the runway to develop projects he has never had the platform to tell before.
“Safe Space found its audience on Tubi, and I found a home,” Fredericks said. “This slate is what happens when a platform believes in a creator’s full vision and gives them room to grow. Comedy has always been central to who I am, and getting to bring these projects to life with a partner that truly believes in the work has been incredibly meaningful. We’re building something much bigger than one show, and I can’t wait for people to see what’s coming.”
The slate is extensive.
- Two additional seasons of Safe Space
- A brand new workplace comedy series called The Airport
- His first stand-up special Grief Sucks
- Two feature films,
Safe Space returns for a second season in June 2026, with Fredericks reprising his role as the underqualified Dr. Fredericks attempting to guide struggling couples back to a place of healing across eight new episodes featuring a fresh cast and a string of cameos. A third season is already slated for July 2027, in which Dr. Fredericks takes on nine relationships using increasingly unconventional methods that do more harm than good.
November 2026 brings The Airport, a brand new 10-episode workplace comedy set in the country’s most dysfunctional airport, where an ill-equipped staff lurches from one crisis to the next. Then in February 2027 comes Grief Sucks, Fredericks’ first stand-up special on a streaming platform, described as his most personal material to date, offering a heartfelt and comedic look at grief and family.
Two feature films round out the slate: a holiday comedy set for 2027 and a horror comedy arriving in 2028, marking Fredericks’ debut in the feature film space.
Rich Bloom, General Manager of Creator Programs and Executive Vice President of Business Development at Tubi, described the partnership as a reflection of the platform’s broader ambitions. “Kevin has built a powerful connection with audiences through authentic, laugh-out-loud storytelling. Expanding our partnership with him reflects our commitment to giving creators who bring unique voices and loyal fanbases to the platform the runway to go bigger.”
Fredericks was equally direct about what the deal means beyond his own career, noting his intention to use the platform to create opportunities for up-and-coming creators, particularly Black creators whose voices deserve wider amplification.
The announcement is the latest chapter in Tubi’s push to establish itself as a serious home for creator-led content. Since launching Tubi for Creators in June 2025, the platform has grown to over 20,000 episodes from more than 300 creators. Previous partnerships have included Joey Graceffa, Bob the Drag Queen, Keith Lee and Sofi Manassyan, among others. Most recently the platform launched The Fast Lane, a creator-led live altcast hosted by Michelle Khare and Jeremiah Burton for the 2026 Formula 1 season.
Tubi, which is owned by Fox Corporation and headquartered in San Francisco, currently serves over 100 million monthly active users and offers its content entirely free to stream.
