Usher is letting us all in on the magic.
BET+ just announced that USHER: RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS, the global superstar’s latest concert film, will stream exclusively on the platform starting May 8. Filmed in the heart of Paris during his sold-out eight-show run at La Seine Musicale, the film delivers a front-row seat to one of R&B’s greatest showmen—without having to cross the Atlantic.
Directed by Anthony Mandler (Rihanna: Loud Tour Live at the O2, Jay-Z: On the Run), the film pulls from the sultry intimacy of Usher’s Las Vegas residencies, dressing it up in French elegance and delivered with showstopping detail—custom costumes, immersive lighting, and a tracklist that spans three decades of hits. From “Yeah!” and “U Got It Bad” to deep cuts and fan favorites, this is more than just a concert; it’s an invitation to witness the icon behind the hits.
And yes, we’re talking about the same man who had 2024 on lock—headlining the Super Bowl halftime show and dropping his ninth studio album COMING HOME, marking his debut as an independent artist. Now, with RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS, he’s bringing the celebration full circle, offering longtime supporters and new audiences alike a seat at the table.
“I’m happy to be partnering with BET+ to bring the celebration of my 30-year career to you, the fans, to enjoy from the comfort of your homes,” said Usher.
Behind the curtain, the film also peels back layers of the performance persona, offering glimpses of the man himself—offstage moments, reflective interludes, and the kind of vulnerability that only comes after 30 years of doing it at the highest level.
Jason Harvey, EVP and GM at BET+, put it plainly:
“This is more than a concert film—it’s a cultural moment. A celebration of Black excellence, artistry, and innovation.”
The film is a collaborative effort between Arcovision, Kingdom Films, Laffitte Group Productions, and Sony Music Vision, with co-financing from Brand Usher LLC, HarbourView Media Group, and LMG Management LLC. Executive producers include Aakomon Jones and Angelo Gopee for Kingdom Films, Kwesi Collisson for Arcovision, and Tom Mackay, Richard Story, and Krista Wegener for Sony Music.
It also arrives right on time, as Usher continues his sold-out Past, Present, Future Tour with stops in London (10 shows at The O2 Arena!), Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam. So even if you can’t make it overseas, you can still experience the magic—roses, riffs, and all—right from your couch.
And for Usher? This is just another chapter in a legacy that’s still being written.
