‘Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother’: Giancarlo Esposito, Tiffany Boone, Tramell Tillman, and More Round Out Cast

Amazon MGM Studios’ Orion Pictures just locked in the rest of the cast for Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, and it’s a lineup worth paying attention to.

Joining two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali in this mysterious new project are Giancarlo Esposito, Abubakr Ali, Severance breakout Tramell Tillman, Tiffany Boone, John Cho, Laith Nakli, Adia, and Jahleel Kamara.

The film is written and directed by Bassam Tariq, whose previous work on Mogul Mowgli earned him international acclaim. He’s also producing the feature alongside Lucan Toh and Babak Anvari of Two & Two Pictures.

While plot details are still being kept under wraps (tight enough to keep even the nosiest film sleuths guessing), what makes this project even more intriguing is the reunion between Ali and Tariq. The two were originally set to collaborate on Marvel Studios’ Blade reboot, with Tariq directing and Ali leading as the half-human vampire hunter. But after a rollercoaster of production setbacks, rewrites, and a revolving door of directors, Tariq walked away from Blade in 2022.

Now, they’re reuniting under completely different circumstances—and fans of both creatives are eager to see what kind of story they’re telling this time.

This casting news also marks another big win for Giancarlo Esposito, who’s having a moment. Fresh off being added to Elegance Bratton’s By Any Means, he continues to show up in buzzy, high-impact projects that span both prestige and commercial lanes.

For Orion Pictures, Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother is one of several bold plays in the pipeline. The studio is coming off the awards momentum of RaMell Ross’ Nickel Boys, and they’re gearing up to release Frankie Shaw’s 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank and the thriller Nanny Cam from George Tillman Jr. and Nelson Greaves.

With this much talent behind and in front of the camera—and a reunion storyline that already feels layered—Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother is shaping up to be one of those films folks will be talking about long before it drops.
