Disney and Pixar Unveil “Inside Out 2” Trailer and New Characters

Disney and Pixar have dropped an exciting sneak peek into their much-anticipated sequel, “Inside Out 2,” featuring a fresh set of Emotions navigating the tumultuous world of teenagehood in Riley’s mind. The film introduces new characters, bringing a unique twist to the beloved franchise.

The core Emotions—Joy (Amy Poehler), Anger (Lewis Black), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Fear (Tony Hale), and Disgust (Liza Lapira)—are joined by a group tailored for the challenges of adolescence. Maya Hawke lends her voice to Anxiety, a high-strung addition ensuring Riley is ready for any potential negative outcome. Ayo Edebiri voices Envy, a character perpetually coveting what others possess. Adèle Exarchopoulos portrays Ennui, a character exuding teenage apathy, and Paul Walter Hauser voices Embarrassment, adding a layer of awkwardness to Riley’s experiences.

In addition to the new Emotions, the cast includes Kensington Tallman as Riley Andersen, who embarks on her high school journey, and Lilimar as Valentina “Val” Ortiz, a revered high school hockey player. The returning voices of Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan depict Riley’s parents, while Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green and Grace Lu voice Riley’s besties. Yvette Nicole Brown adds her talents as Coach Roberts, leading a summer hockey camp.

The ensemble cast also features Sarayu Blue, Flea, Ron Funches, Dave Goelz, James Austin Johnson, Bobby Moynihan, Frank Oz, Paula Pell, Paula Poundstone, John Ratzenberger, Kendall Coyne Schofield, June Squibb, Kirk Thatcher, and Yong Yea.

“Inside Out 2” delves back into Riley’s mind as she navigates the challenges of high school. Directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen, the film promises a blend of humor, emotion, and relatability. Andrea Datzman provides the score for this highly anticipated sequel.
