David E Talbert is adding a new sports-inspired, single-camera comedy show to ABC’s lineup with Overtime.
He will write and executive produce the series that centers on a retired NBA player. He returns home to play positions he avoided throughout his 12-year career: father, husband, neighbor, friend. After being pampered his entire adult life, he is now facing his toughest opponent yet – himself.
The show will explore the character’s transition away from the spotlight and the challenges he faces in his new role. No casting has been announced as of yet.
