ABC’s 9-1-1: Nashville just added more firepower to its growing ensemble. Hailey Kilgore (Power Book III: Raising Kanan) and Juani Feliz (Harlem) are among four new series regulars joining the spinoff, alongside Michael Provost (The Holdovers) and newcomer Hunter McVey.
They join previously announced leads Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley in the 9-1-1 franchise’s latest expansion, which takes the emergency responder drama to Music City.
Produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television, 9-1-1: Nashville was granted a straight-to-series order earlier this year. The show is a mix of high-stakes rescues and Southern family drama, set against the glitz, grit, and glamour of Nashville.
Meet the New Recruits
- Hailey Kilgore plays Taylor, a gifted firefighter with a voice to match—fitting, given Kilgore’s own background as a Tony- and Grammy-nominated singer. Her breakout role as Jukebox in Raising Kanan solidified her as one to watch, and she’s set to release her debut album later this year.
- Michael Provost steps into the role of Ryan, a modern-day cowboy and fellow firefighter. You’ve likely seen him in The Holdovers or Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2.
- Juani Feliz plays Cammi, a former trauma surgeon turned adrenaline-chasing firefighter. She recently booked the lead in The Equalizer spinoff and boasts credits in Harlem, DMZ, Fleishman Is in Trouble, and Alex Garland’s Civil War.
- Hunter McVey rounds out the new additions as Blue, a haunted bad boy and rookie firefighter. This will mark McVey’s professional acting debut.
Fire, Family, and (Possibly) Music
With a cast that includes trained vocalists like Kilgore and Rimes, and a setting like Nashville, don’t be surprised if music plays a more prominent role in this series than in its predecessors. And with Kimberly Williams-Paisley—married to country star Brad Paisley—in the mix, the stage is set for potential musical cameos. No promises, but it wouldn’t be a wild stretch either.
ABC and 20th Television have yet to comment on the latest casting news.
The new series is executive produced by franchise co-creators Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani, with Raisani also serving as showrunner. Chris O’Donnell, Brad Falchuk, Brad Buecker, and Angela Bassett are also executive producing.
As 9-1-1: Lone Star bows out after five seasons, Nashville looks ready to carry the franchise forward—with a little Southern swagger and a lot of heart.
