The new promo includes never-before-seen footage from several upcoming originals
HBO Max is giving viewers an early look at what’s ahead. The streamer dropped a new “Coming Soon” promo on Sunday, offering a curated preview of its second half 2026 lineup, featuring a mix of returning favorites and highly anticipated new originals.
Among the highlights is a new look at Lanterns, the DC Studios drama in which veteran Green Lantern Hal Jordan and new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) investigate a dark murder mystery in the American heartland. The show premieres August 16.
Also featured is the Questlove-directed documentary Earth, Wind & Fire (To Be Celestial vs. That’s The Weight Of The World), which traces the origin, evolution, and lasting cultural impact of the legendary nine-time Grammy Award-winning band. The film debuts June 7 from 9 to 11 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and streams on Max.
The promo also teases Season 4 of The Gilded Age and Season 3 of House of the Dragon, which kicks off June 21. Sports fans can look forward to Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Seattle Seahawks, premiering in August, while Season 3 of Conan O’Brien Must Go is also on the way. Several projects without firm premiere dates were also featured, including documentary series Monsters of God and The Man Will Burn, drama War, and comedy Youth, all expected later in 2026.
Debuting June 26, Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness is a seven-episode sketch comedy limited series from Larry David and the Obamas. The premise is simple: the Obamas wanted to honor America’s 250th anniversary, but then Larry David called.
On the comedy front, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, the Big Bang Theory spinoff, arrives July 23. The show follows comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, who accidentally triggers a multiverse crisis after breaking a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, forcing him to attempt to restore reality before it all falls apart.
Rounding out the promo is footage from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, including a look at the titular boy wizard on the quidditch field. The show’s first teaser, released in March, became the most-watched trailer in HBO and HBO Max history. It premieres Christmas Day.
