After 15 Years, ‘Love & Hip Hop’ to End as VH1 Announces Six-Part Final Chapter

After more than a decade of shaping reality television and pop culture, Love & Hip Hop is officially preparing to take its final bow.

VH1 has announced ‘Love & Hip Hop: The Final Chapter’, a six-part limited series set to premiere in fall 2026. The project will serve as a definitive sendoff for one of the most influential unscripted franchises of the modern era.

Since its 2011 debut, Love & Hip Hop has evolved far beyond a reality series. It became a launching pad for artists, entrepreneurs, and personalities whose stories were often overlooked, helping transform them into household names while driving conversations around relationships, ambition, and the music industry.

The upcoming limited series will revisit the franchise’s most unforgettable moments—both the highs and the controversies—while unpacking its cultural impact and lasting legacy. Through new interviews, the series will bring together cast members from across its major cities—New York, Atlanta, Hollywood, and Miami—alongside producers, executives, journalists, and cultural critics who have followed its evolution from the beginning.

Executive producer Lashan Browning emphasized the people-first legacy behind the franchise, saying the series is designed to honor “the incredible talent who trusted us with their real lives” as well as the fans who supported the show from day one. She added that the goal is to ensure the franchise “ends the way it should—for the culture.”

VH1 executive Sitarah Pendelton echoed that sentiment, calling the limited series a “love letter” to the cast, producers, and audience who helped redefine reality television over the past 15 years.

Even as the franchise prepares to close this chapter, it isn’t going quiet just yet. Fans can still catch current seasons of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta airing Tuesdays on MTV and Love & Hip Hop: Miami airing Wednesdays on BET.

Following its premiere, The Final Chapter will also be spotlighted on BET Immersed, offering exclusive behind-the-scenes content and deeper dives into the franchise’s cultural footprint.

Produced by Antoinette Media, the series is executive produced by Mona Scott-Young for Monami Productions and Lashan Browning for Antoinette Media, alongside Donna Edge-Rachell, Alissa Horowitz, and Daniel Wiener. Julie Ha serves as supervising producer for MTV Entertainment Studios.

Fifteen years later, Love & Hip Hop isn’t just ending—it’s getting the full-circle moment its impact demands.
