NBC has officially renewed “Night Court” for a third season, bringing back the beloved courtroom comedy to primetime television.
Starring Melissa Rauch in the lead role as Judge Abby Stone, “Night Court” follows the legacy of the original 1984-1992 show, with John Larroquette reprising his Emmy-winning role as attorney Dan Fielding. The series is set in a Manhattan arraignment court, adding a fresh and humorous take to legal proceedings after dark.
The show also stars Lacretta, Nyambi Nyambi and India de Beaufort.

The decision to renew “Night Court” for a third season was a natural one, given its success and popularity. Despite some back-and-forth discussions between NBC and Warner Bros. TV about the episode order, the new season is set to consist of 18 episodes, maintaining the show’s momentum and storyline depth.
“Night Court” quickly became NBC’s flagship comedy, garnering significant viewership across both traditional linear platforms and digital streaming. Its second season, produced by a talented team including Dan Rubin, Melissa Rauch, Winston Rauch, and John Larroquette, has reached an impressive 24 million total viewers to date.
