Peacock Drops Trailers for Four New Scripted Series from Emerging Artist Series

Peacock is spotlighting the next wave of storytellers with the debut of four new scripted series developed by digital-first creators—and all four series now have official trailers available to view.

Launching under the banner of the Emerging Artist Series, the shows premiere Monday, May 19, with all episodes dropping at once. The series—The Kouncil, The Warehouse PhaseOlder Hotter Wiser, and People Like Me—were created by Katie Florence, Charlie Curtis-Beard, Serena Kerrigan, and Daren Vongirdner, respectively, and each project was developed through NBCUniversal’s Creator Accelerator Program.

The program was designed to help social-first creators transition into premium long-form storytelling, offering mentorship, development support, and production partnerships. And it’s not just behind the scenes—each creator also stars in their own show, having written and produced their projects from start to finish.

Katie Florence Brings Inner Voices to Life in ‘The Kouncil’

In The Kouncil, Katie Florence picks up the pieces after a difficult breakup. Alone for the first time, she leans on the personified voices in her head—Logic, Heart, Anxiety, and Lady Parts—to get through the chaos of adulthood. The comedy unpacks everything from self-worth to career setbacks with honesty, humor, and Florence’s signature wit. The show was produced by Telemundo Studios and spans six short-form episodes.

Charlie Curtis-Beard Leads ‘The Warehouse Phase’

In The Warehouse Phase, Curtis-Beard plays Chi, a struggling musician who reluctantly enters the influencer space after the unexpected death of a viral rapper. As fame finds him, he’s forced to navigate his growing online presence, strained friendships, and a complicated love life—all while chasing the music career he truly wants. The series is produced by Tandem Pictures and runs six episodes, each approximately 12 minutes in length.

Serena Kerrigan Hits the Road in ‘Older Hotter Wiser’

Older Hotter Wiser stars Serena Kerrigan as a woman en route to Hollywood whose plans are derailed by a chaotic road trip with her boyfriend. What starts as a logistical nightmare becomes an unexpected personal reckoning. As old mistakes resurface and the line between her online persona and real life blurs, she’s forced to confront what she really wants from her career, her relationship, and herself. Produced by Tandem Pictures, the series includes seven short-form episodes.

Daren Vongirdner Tackles Mental Health in ‘People Like Me’

In People Like Me, Daren Vongirdner explores anxiety, self-doubt, and personal growth through his character’s sessions with a therapist. Told with humor, music, and emotional vulnerability, the show offers a fresh perspective on navigating adulthood. BetterHelp is integrated into the series as part of a partnership that highlights mental wellness. Produced by Tandem Pictures, the series includes six episodes.

A New Path for Creator-Led Content

The Emerging Artist Series is the culmination of a multi-year effort by NBCUniversal to develop original voices from the social media space and bring them into the world of premium streaming. Josh Feldman, CMO of advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal, emphasized the significance of this strategy in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“Each series put the creator’s distinctive voice on display, and it’s taking the storytelling that they’ve been publishing for years and sort of amplified it for long-form premium video,” Feldman said. “They really developed and executed their series from concept to screen, but also they’re starring in them, which is great.”

The creators came through NBCU’s inaugural Creator Accelerator cohort, which included 11 social-first talents with a combined reach of over 10 million followers. Each signed a development deal with Universal Studio Group and received mentorship from company executives throughout the process.

Brand Partnerships and Rollout

To support the launch, Peacock has aligned with brand sponsors BetterHelp and the U.S. Army. BetterHelp is integrated into People Like Me to reinforce its mental health themes, while the Army will use the Emerging Artist Series banner to present service opportunities to younger audiences.

The trailers for all four series are now live, and all episodes will be available to stream starting Monday, May 19 exclusively on Peacock.
