Paramount+ has given horror enthusiasts a first-look images and the premiere date for their upcoming horror film, “Pet Sematary: Bloodlines.” Scheduled to debut on October 6, the movie promises to be a bone-rattling addition to the horror genre, especially for fans of Stephen King’s terrifying novel, “Pet Sematary.”

Directed by Lindsey Anderson Beer in her impressive debut, “Pet Sematary: Bloodlines” acts as a prequel to King’s iconic “Pet Sematary” and is based on an untold chapter penned by the master of horror himself. Stephen King has hailed this particular property as his scariest creation to date, which sets high expectations for horror aficionados.

The cast of “Pet Sematary: Bloodlines” stars Jackson White, Forrest Goodluck, Jack Mulhern, Henry Thomas, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Isabella Star LaBlanc. Additionally, the film features the esteemed talents of Pam Grier and David Duchovny.

The film’s story revolves around a young Jud Crandall in the year 1969. Filled with dreams of escaping his hometown, Ludlow, Maine, he soon stumbles upon dark and sinister secrets buried within the town’s history. As he delves deeper into his family’s past, he finds himself forever tethered to Ludlow and its disturbing past. Together with his childhood friends, Jud must confront an ancient evil that has plagued Ludlow since its inception. Once unleashed, this malevolent force has the power to destroy everything in its path, leaving a trail of horror and destruction.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian take on the roles of producers for this Di Bonaventura Pictures Production, while the screenplay is a collaborative effort between Lindsey Beer and Jeff Buhler.

Pet Sematary: Bloodlines will be part of the Paramount+ Peak Screaming collection, which curates an eerie assortment of horror movies and Halloween-themed episodes from various TV series. Horror fans in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Brazil can catch the hair-raising premiere on October 6. International audiences need not wait long, as the movie will debut in their markets the following day.
