Starz bids farewell to another chapter in the Power franchise as it announces the impending conclusion of “Power Book II: Ghost.” Following the recent announcement of a prequel series delving into the origins story of Ghost and Tommy, the network disclosed that the second installment in the Power saga will wrap up with its upcoming fourth season.

Scheduled to premiere on Friday, June 7, the final season will be divided into two parts, with the second half set to debut on Friday, Sept. 6. This decision coincides with the 10th anniversary of the flagship series in the Power franchise.

Kathryn Busby, president of programming at Starz, assures fans that the upcoming season will provide an explosive finale fitting for a decade-long, immensely popular franchise. Despite the conclusion of “Power Book II: Ghost,” Starz remains committed to delivering compelling storytelling within the Power universe.

From executive producers Courtney Kemp and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, the Power series has enjoyed widespread success since its inception in 2014, culminating in six seasons and over 60 episodes. The franchise has since expanded to include “Book III: Raising Kanan” and “Book IV: Force,” with additional spinoffs in development.

Despite the cancellation of “Influence” as a potential fourth spinoff, Starz promises further developments within the Power universe as it prepares for a transition from its current ownership under Lionsgate. Notably, creator Courtney Kemp has departed Lionsgate for a lucrative deal with Netflix, though she remains credited as an executive producer.

“Power Book II: Ghost” features a stellar ensemble cast, including Michael Rainey Jr., Mary J. Blige, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Gianni Paolo, Woody McClain, Lovell Adams-Gray, LaToya Tonodeo, Alix Lapri, Larenz Tate, Caroline Chikezie, Lightskinkeisha, and Michael Ealy.

As fans anticipate the final season, speculation arises about the future of the Power franchise. With ongoing productions for “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” and “Power Book IV: Force,” the potential for further expansion remains high. However, Starz assures fans that there are currently no plans to conclude the Power Universe.
