The untitled series—also being referred to as Power: Legacy—is set in the present-day timeline and will follow the lives of Tommy Egan (Sikora) and Tariq St. Patrick (Rainey Jr.) as their stories continue to unfold beyond the events of Power Book IV: Force and Power Book II: Ghost. Both actors will reprise their long-running roles that have become core to the franchise’s legacy.

The new series comes from executive producers Gary Lennon and Kendra Chapman, who both worked on Force. Lennon will also serve as showrunner. While Starz has not confirmed plot details or a premiere date, a writers’ room is expected to open soon.
This new chapter joins Power: Origins, a prequel spinoff that’s also in development. Origins is set after the events of Raising Kanan and will explore the early years of Ghost and Tommy. That series is being led by Raising Kanan creator Sascha Penn, who has already opened a writers’ room.

If Legacy is officially greenlit, it would become the fifth spinoff in the Power franchise. The original series, created by Courtney A. Kemp, aired for six seasons and sparked a cultural phenomenon. It was followed by:
- Power Book II: Ghost, led by Rainey Jr.
- Power Book III: Raising Kanan, which just completed filming its fifth and final season.
- Power Book IV: Force, which is wrapping up its final season later this year.
- The upcoming Power: Origins prequel.
The new developments come as Starz continues to prioritize franchise building, opting to end series after a few seasons and invest in new extensions of familiar IP.
